The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) has released a nice clear chart (link below) showing the amount of oil produced per country over the last 10 years. Over the last 6 years the US has been in first place despite having far less proven reserves than the next 2 largest producers, Saudi Arabia and Russia. In 2023 the US produced nearly as much oil as the 4th, 5th and 6th top producers combined. Set by the USA, the previous world record for a single country's production daily average was in 2019 at 12.3 billion barrels a day. In 2023 USA averaged 12.9 billion barrels of oil per day.
