At the high court in Edinburgh (Scotland, UK) the UK Government admits there is a legal issue with the Rosebank oil field approval. The loophole twist that campaigners have seized upon is causing delays.

They care little for the oil industry and the jobs that thousands of families depend upon.

Shell, Equinor and Ithica Energy have invested millions in the project, which is now being challenged by environmental campaigners.

Stopping this field will not reduce oil consumption or emissions, it will mean that other oil producing countries like Russia and Iran will benefit.
