Perhaps it's surprising that there hasn't been any previous casualties from Houthi reckless firing of missiles at ships passing through the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden. Ever since Israel started it's full scale attack on Hamas forces in Palestine the Yemen based Houthis have been looking to retaliate in support of the Palestinian people.

  Ship is on fire and has been abandoned. Surviving crew members and casualties have been rescued and are receiving treatment.

  This will make a big difference to the shipping companies and their ability to route their vessels through the area. Many are still taking the long route round Africa.
