University Jouhou System Kougaku Lab are training the Musashi humanoid to drive a car. I wonder if this is a serious attempt at driverless car technology, or rather a test for robotic abilities in general. All other driverless car technologies are concentrating on having the technology built in to every car. Whereas Musashi when he finishes his training is going to be able to drive any car.

Named after a famous Japanese 16th century swordsman, artist and writer Miyamoto Musashi.
