Large out of control fire at an unauthorized oil refinery near Erbil, the capital of Iraq's Kurdistan region. Reports of injuries, some critical, but no fatalities.

Cause of the fire remains unknown.

Iraq is heavily reliant on their oil industry as by far their main income source.

  No fatalities reported. 14 injured casualties were all firefighters. 2 are in a critical condition.

  There are thought to be a couple of hundred unauthorized 200 unlicensed refineries and storage depots in the Kurdish region.
• Aba Selassie
  After burning for nearly a day, the blaze is now under control.
