Today the 229m bulk carrier Tutor was struck by a 5m long unmanned remote control speed boat filled with explosive devices. Impacting the stern and causing extensive damage. The Greek owned merchant vessel Tutor is now said to be taking on water, in danger of sinking and the crew have lost control. No injuries reported. The attack happened 66 nautical miles (NM) south west of the Yemen port city of Hodeidah. Further damage was caused by a subsequent missile strike. Military authorities are assisting, but the vessel is likely to be lost, perhaps salvageable.

The Houthi rebel suicide crafts have a camera system, GPS steering control with guidance computer hooked up to a hydraulic steering pump and throttle control. The image shows their common low profile design dubbed the blow fish boat. The rebels guide and then ram their boat in to the target vessel, the explosive warhead in the bow then detonates.
