Labour (UK political party) have fully announced their grand plan for the UK future energy needs.

Labour travelled to Edinburgh, Scotland. I wonder why they didn't go that bit further to the oil capital of Europe, Aberdeen? Perhaps they were concerned with the reaction from the locals to the destruction of their main industry.

While in Edinburgh, they never mentioned the inevitable massive job losses that will come from their outright ban on new oil and gas fields in the UK. Instead they painted a rosy picture of new jobs in a new industry where the UK could maybe one day be a leader.

But, where is the massive investment going to come from for this new industry. It would be better to leave the oil and gas industry alone. It will then continue to earn the vast sums that it does in revenue and provide high paying jobs for hundreds of thousands of people.

When oil starts to decline in demand, the oil industry will naturally decline as well.
